Managing Director          Ranald Munro B.Agr.Ec (Hons), Dip.Fin.Man

Ranald has been the manager of a cattle and sheep operation, based on over 6,000ha in the Bingara district since 1990.  He has introduced modern animal husbandry practices in that time including computer aided livestock breeding and production programs, soft rolling skin sheep selection, cut out mulesing operations, used artificial insemination to improve both cattle and sheep genetics, and changed fertiliser programs based upon soil science and agronomic advice.

As part of his role within the business he has bought and sold land, been responsible for the interaction of solicitors and accountants when necessary, and produced annual management accounting statements to provide detailed reports of actual wealth creation in his farming operation.

Through family farm operations and work, Ranald has had experience with a wide range of climatic conditions, particularly at Bingara, Bundarra, Merriwa, Brewarrina, Bordertown (SA), Moree, and Longreach (Qld).

He spent six years as a Director of the Northern Slopes Rural Lands Protection Board until the state government substantially altered that body, having been voted to the Board by his fellow land-holders.

He was a trustee of Copeton Waters State Park from 1993-2005 and was Chair of that Board for five years.  During his time at Copeton Ranald held the position of Chair of the State Parks Trust Advisory Board, a state wide umbrella organisation that promoted the nine State Parks as well as improved the services and functions of the individual organisations.

Prior to his role as farm manager Ranald was employed by the ANZ Rural Service Bureau in Moree where he assisted with rural lending applications and fulfilling client needs in a busy rural lending business.
